The Annual Zhemgang Tshechu will be observed from 26th March. till 28th March. 2007 at Zhemgang Dzongkhag. All government and public offices will remain closed on these days to grace the occasion.

Quarter Allotment |

All the applicants who applied for NHDC quarter to gather on 30th June 2007 at DYT hall for quarter allotment.
The following criterion is taken into consideration for quareter allotment:
1) The allotment is based on lucky tip basis and it is applied to civil servants from grade 8 & below only.
2) Preference shall be given to the civil servants with families and who do not own house in the Dzongkhag.
3) Grade 9 and 10 civil servants shall be limited to 20% only ( i.e 7 units out of 36 units)
4) Staff working in Corporaiton and Private organisation are not eligible for allotment unit further notice
5) Rent fixation shall be based on floor area.

This is to kindly inform all Druknet(internet-dial up) users and would be potential users that effective 1st april 2007, there will be no package charges for Dial-up internet Access Services.

Road blocked between Zhemgang - Gelephu |

This is to inform general public that due to the continuous heavy rain the road between Gelephu - Hathikhola is heavily blocked in many places. The road formation at 15 Km (box Cutting) has been washed away, besides that there is continuous boulder falling at 45 Km.
Zhemgang is trying its best to give better transports services by deploying available machineries and labourers in many locations but due to the non stop rain in this months of July, 2007 the situation becomes worst day by.

The Land Management Campaign Programme conducted by the Ministry Of Agriculture(MOA), was held at Panbang Dungkhag under Zhemgang Dzongkhag from 19/07/07- - 21/07/07. The said Programme was attended by the Dasho Dzongdag, Dzongkhag RNR staffs, NSSC staffs and relevant officials of the concerned sectors. The programme began with the planting of Sapling trees on the first day followed by making of check dam and bridge on second and third day respectively.

Be aware with the Virus - Don't Be A Computer Virus Victim |

1.Don't download anything from anyone you don't know or aren't expecting... EVER.
2. READ YOUR EMAIL ONLINE! Don't download the email until you're 100% sure it is safe. Use Netscape, use Yahoo, use Eudora, use Simplecheck; I'm sure there are others.
3. If your email has an attachment, go into your headers and look at it. If it's got a pif or scr extension, chances are it's a virus. If it's any Microsoft program file, and you aren't expecting it, it in itself probably isn't a virus, but it could very easily have a virus embedded in it. Look at the attachment name. File names don't lie. If it's a .jpg.scr extension, it's a virus.
4. Antivirus protection programs are only ever as up to date as known viruses. They are also the first target of a virus, so don't trust the antivirus protection program alone. If you've used your eyes and don't believe it's a virus, scan it anyway.
5. Take the time and make the effort to understand how viruses and worms get onto your computer and you can virtually stop them all in their tracks.

On March 31,2008 the Returning officer,Mr.Thinlay Namgay of Bardo-Trong contituency awarded the certificate to Mr.Tshering Dorji who secured the highest number of votes from the contituency in the National Assembly Election(March 24,2008)..
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dasho Dzongdag,Dasho Drangpon,Regional Sector heads,sector heads of the administration and both the party workers..

The Pangkhar Gewog Gup and Magmi election was done on this day in three polling stations Redijong,Shilling Teo and Pangtang.There were two contestants for Gup and Three contestants for Magmi.The two contestants for Gup are Mr.Jigme Tenzin from Zingbi and Mr.Rinchen Lungten,Shilling Teo.The three contestants for Magmi are Tshering Yeshi from Redijong,Jempel Wangchuk from Tashibi and Sangay Geompo.
