Phangkhar Gewog consist of 14 main villages namely Pantang, Zangbi, Shilingtoe, Yukhar, Tashibi, Zalapong, Mamung, Chapgoen, Kradijong, Redhijong, Tshobrang, Edhi, Pongchola and Gujong with 189 households.
The Gewog lies in the south part of the Dzongkhag covering an area of 248 sq. km. It is the largest Gewog in Lower Kheng after Ngangla and Goshing were separated in 1999.
Development infrastructure in the Gewog include a RNR center, three Community Primary Schools, beside with two health centers and three ORCs.
