The final closing phase of the project Leveraging Cultural and Scientific Knowledge and Practices for Environmental Conservation in Tali, Nangkor Gewog, Zhemgang District was held on 19 May 2022 at Tali.

The works for revival of Tali Lake project has been in the process since the last couple of years under the assistance from UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme spearheaded by the Loden Foundation.

During the closing ceremony, Loden Foundation officially handed over the responsibility of the lake and project area to the Tali Yoesel Pelri Community Forest and the community in general. This was followed by transfer of the donated amount to the Community and also launched the project report magazine presided by the officiating Dzongdag [along with relevant officials from Zhemgang Administration], representatives from the Loden Foundation and the Community people en masse.

The Dzongkhag Administration expressed immense gratitude and lauded the Loden Foundation [along with other donors] for the initiatives as it will help in fostering community ownership in the management of the natural resources in the country.
